Becky grew up and went to school in St. Albans and always wanted to be a physiotherapist – after attending appointments with her parents.
She studied Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire and, having won a scholarship, she gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy in Women’s Health from the University of Bradford in 2011. She has over 14 years of experience working as a Chartered Physiotherapist and specialises in Musculoskeletal (traditional) and Women’s Health Physiotherapy and continues her learning with regular CPD courses.
Becky is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and HPCP registered. She is also a Clinical Governance Specialist – meaning that she has to stay up to date with all the best practises and techniques whilst being mindful that there is always more to learn! Becky is also a licenced Mummy MOT practitioner.
Having worked in both corporate and small clinic settings, Becky set up the Physio Specialist to enable her to spend her days doing what she loves best – being with patients. Her job satisfaction comes from working with those patients to help them overcome and manage their symptoms and/or conditions long term and as independently as possible.
As well as offering secure virtual appointments to those across the UK, she runs a face to face clinic in Jersey Farm, St Albans and offers home visits in the St. Albans, Wheathampstead and Harpenden areas.
Becky is married and a proud Mummy to a primary school aged son. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends and avoiding housework wherever possible!
